Welcome! This website is a place where I hope to be able to share and collaborate on whatever projects that I’m working on. I’m very new to having a website of my own so please bear with me as there may be some “growing pains” as we go along on this journey.
A little bit about me – The name of this website summarizes it well 🙂 – For as long as I can remember I have been taking things apart and “fixing” them, or at least attempting to anyway. Mom tells the story of when I was about 3 years old, she walked into the living room, went to turn on the lights and found bare wires sticking out of the wall and me sitting on the floor with the switch and a screwdriver in my hand “fixing” it. Fortunately my parents were supportive of this kind of thing (within reason) and I gained a lot of experience as I grew up helping remodel the house (a couple times), helping dad build a street rod when I was 8 and having an after school job for as long as I can remember. All of these experiences helped fuel my curiosity and taught me so many things, most of which I didn’t realize at the time.
I’m pretty independent, try to do most things myself and learn as I go. Mistakes are made and sometimes I get in over my head, but that’s OK – all part of the learning process.
